BACKGROUND

I ‘ve been an occupational therapist for 30 years and have worked in hospitals, acute rehabilitation centers, and skilled nursing facilities. I have worked with patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including head injury, spinal cord injury, cardiopulmonary disease, orthopedic injuries, dementia, as well as end-of-life care consultation. During the course of my work, I coordinated the care of my patients with a team of healthcare professionals that included physical therapists, speech and language therapists, social workers, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, as well as specialists in cardiology, orthopedics, neurology, and psychiatry.
